Dude I am convinced... If your ultimate motive to rebel against fear, then you are walking a righteous path... I think however it might also be worth saying that if any tragedies did arise from hitchhiking... who would be able to document such tragedies? If a person gets buried alive in the woods and no one is around to hear him, does he make a sound? Just one quick question while I am at it... Let's say your venture is a success and you live to write about your awesome experience... Do you think humanity will be affected by your experience? what do you hope the subliminal consequences on humanity will be? Is it possible it could have an adverse effect considering the already present mentality of human nature? Are you familiar with "Into the Wild"? Just playing devil's advocate a little with ya =P
